Who will guide you

I am a certified tour guide in Israel. I completed a two-year tour guiding programme at the Hebrew University of Jerusalem, which ended with a licence granted by the Israeli Ministry of Tourism. My work as a guide draws on everything I have learned living here permanently since 2011.

I have also completed extensive first aid training, including how to handle emergencies specific to Israel.

How a tour works

I am not a travel agency and I do not run coach tours. I guide small groups and families, usually two to eight people, and build the route around what interests you and how much time you have. There is no fixed catalogue — after your first message we exchange a few emails and a tailor-made itinerary comes out of it.

I guide in English, Czech and Slovak. That sounds like a detail, but it is not: with a subject like the history of the Middle East, the difference between hearing it in your own language and in broken English is enormous.

What to bring

Comfortable shoes, a hat and plenty of water — we will sort out the rest along the way. Holy sites require covered shoulders and knees, and some require a head covering; I always let you know in advance.
